8th graders at Montgomery continued their partnership with University of San Diego. Montgomery students are working with USD’s Changemaker Hub. The Changemaker Challenge invites students to employ imagination, hard work, and passion through the Design Thinking Process to generate ideas for addressing a current social challenge. This year’s theme is Homelessness, Displacement and Migration. On December 9th, Montgomery students visited USD and launched their STEAM project. They met USD staff and students. They watched the top 3 videos that USD students submitted to the Changemaker Challenge. They were also given personal tours around campus. The partnership will continue with an idea lab, process visit and mentorships with the final projects.
