Garden & Teachers Featured at CTA

Montgomery teachers Diana Bentley and Patrick Meehan and the Montgomery Middle STEAM Magnet school garden are featured in the February 2020 Board Report for the CTA Institute for Teaching. Along with Think Tank facilitator and STEAM Instructional Coach Emalyn Leppard, the team has been a part of a Teacher Think Tank discussing health and wellness over the last couple of years.

8th Graders and USD Changemaker Hub Collaboration

On February 6th Montgomery Middle STEAM Magnet 8th grader’s and USD Changemaker Hub continued their collaboration together as USD led the 8th graders in an Idea lab. The 8th graders are going through a design thinking process exactly like the USD students have done through the Changemaker Challenge on Homelessness, Migration and Displacement.

8th graders at Montgomery continued their partnership with University of San Diego. Montgomery students are working with USD’s Changemaker Hub. The Changemaker Challenge invites students to employ imagination, hard work, and passion through the Design Thinking Process to generate ideas for addressing a current social challenge.
